Intellectual property

The site’s texts, images and graphic elements are protected. Any reproduction without written permission is forbidden, except for short quotation with acknowledgement of the source.

The content is for information only and constitutes neither an expert opinion nor legal or tax advice. Only a written report drawn up at the end of an appraisal commits the practice, within the limits it indicates.

Privacy policy (GDPR)

Data collected

• Contact and assessment request forms: name, e-mail, telephone, country, description of the object, photographs, provenance information.
• Newsletter: e-mail address (subscription with double confirmation). Messages are sent through the site host’s mail service.

Purposes and legal basis

• Answering requests and processing appraisal files: performance of pre-contractual measures or of the contract, and consent.
• Sending the practice newsletter: consent.

Retention period

Assessment requests are kept for three years after the end of the relationship; contact messages with no follow-up, twelve months; newsletter subscriptions, until unsubscription.

Recipients and transfers

Data is accessible only to the practice and to its strictly necessary technical providers (hosting, messaging). The site host and the mail provider, both located in the European Union.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise them: contact@mbella-expertise.com. You may refer the matter to the competent data protection authority.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site currently uses no advertising or audience-measurement cookies. It records, locally in your browser, your light or dark theme choice. This storage is strictly necessary for your comfort and does not leave your device.

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts servers, which transmits your IP address to that service. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts servers, which may pass your IP address to that service.

If an audience-measurement tool, an embedded video or a third-party booking module is added, this page will be updated and your consent requested.

General terms of sale

• Purpose. These terms govern the practice’s appraisal, valuation, advisory and training services.
• Quotes and fees. Each service is covered by a written quote. Fees are independent of the object’s value and of any sale. See fees.
• Nature of the opinion. The opinion is a reasoned judgement based on the evidence available at the date of the report. It is not a guarantee.
• Client obligations. To provide accurate and complete information on the object and its provenance.
• Confidentiality. The practice and the client undertake to keep the file confidential.
• Payment, cancellation, postponement. Payment is due on delivery of the report; cancellation before the examination is free of charge, after it the hours worked remain payable.
• Liability. The practice’s liability is limited to the fees received for the engagement concerned.
• Governing law and disputes. Cameroonian law applies; the courts of Douala have jurisdiction, after an attempt at amicable mediation.
